Is it time you were more than a listing in a directory
...in the last recession 600,000 homes were repossessed and the jobless total reached 2.6 million...IF it happens again it will mean more tradespeople chasing less work. Chances are the rates for a job will fall as competition increases. You will have to work harder for less money.

If this is your first time don’t panic there were many lessons learnt from the last one and there is one huge factor that has changed, you are looking at it right now, the internet.
It seems like a vicious circle. Spend money advertising for business when trades are getting laid off and people are spending less. One thing that became clear the last time is that those who do advertise end up being the ones left standing when things pick up.
With hindsight it is easy to see why. Last time many people panicked and did nothing. This left the market wide open for those with a “Can Do” attitude. Not only that but the cost of advertising in a recession tends to go down as traditional advertising gets desperate and reduces the cost. The “Can Do’s” win twice!
